About C.L.E.A.N
Citizens Learning & Educating About Neighborhoods or C.L.E.A.N is a volunteer- driven initiative dedicated to enhancing the Berkley & Southside communities of Norfolk, VA. C.L.E.A.N’s mission is to develop a community of young, educated leaders who pursue their dreams, rise above all odds, and promote hope, dignity, and wealth in their neighborhood. The program serves at-risk youth aged 10 to 18 offering mentorship, community service opportunities, academic support, job training, and field trips. Funding from Wingstop Charities in Fall 2023 allowed C.L.E.A.N to provide summer programming for 150 students, which included job skills training for summer employment and a civil rights tour in Atlanta, GA featuring visits to several historical sites.
